Where does the name Salt ’n’ Sauce come from? It's an expression used in Edinburgh fish & chip shops. The sauce refers to 'Edinburgh chippy sauce' a secret recipe unique to Scotland's captial. Luckily we've got the inside track as our founder is from Edinburgh so we offer it as one of the sauces on our menu!

Can you tell me about todays catch? Salt ’n’ Sauce follows the Bonnie Gull ethos of sourcing high quality seafood from British waters. The fish in our fish and chips is always super-fresh and responsibly sourced.

We are passionate about the journey from sea to plate and ensure that all of our produce is responsibly sourced via independent fisherman. At Salt ’n’ Sauce we understand the fishing industry as well as protecting and respecting the sea. We're also rmindful of seaonality and only want to serve a product when it's at it's best, therefore the fish we use may vary. Primarily we use North Sea haddock but will sometimes change this for Channel haddock or other premium white fish such as cod and whiting.
